There is a place where time stands still
This book is a personal exploration of being between places and states, inspired by the idea of liminality, when nothing feels fixed and everything feels in motion.
After witnessing a movement workshop, where people were able to move and dance around interactive lights connected to movement and music, this first exploration began. What is the reason for this movement? Where is the connection when it comes to these silhouettes of people that are still in a frame of constant movement? After that, and with the help of a poem called There is a place where time stands still, I created an interactive book that uses different papers and mediums to express how that feeling of a transitional moment in my life is happening. Through each page, there is a new approach to what it means to move while everything is still, or how it is to stand still when everything is moving. This book shows the tension of standing still and moving forward at the same time.
